Das Abacus ist mit einem Topsheet aus australischem Lacewood ausgestattet. Dieses Holz wird nachhaltig geerntet und mit Unterstützung von Arbor wieder aufgeforstet. Darüber hinaus besitzt das Abacus einen Kern aus Pappel-Paulownia Holz, das leicht wie Balsa, aber strapazierfähig wie traditionelles Kernmaterial ist. Enjoy the results of our exploration into the limits of shape calculation.  The Abacus is a new-breed taper-tail for the fluidic backseat mountain surfer.  Knowing there are few 100% powder days, the Abacus was designed to deliver “all-aspect” freeride performance.  At speed, in mixed conditions, and across varied terrain, this powder stick’s your true, form-follows-function, mountain machine.

Natural fiber upgrade*

The Abacus is built with a burled eucalyptus wood-top.  During construction, resin locks the dense wood fibers in place, creating a structural layer that improves board return and resilience.  The Abacus also features a new blended paulownia core.  Paulownia is light like balsa - yet strong.  It allows us to reduce weight, while maintaining a high level of durability.

Abacus est munie d’un topsheet en eucalyptus qui améliore la réactivité de la planche et la rend très résistante. En outre, Abacus possède un nouveau noyau en peuplier-paulownia, léger comme le balsa mais résistant comme les matériaux traditionnellement utilisés pour le noyau. On obtient ainsi un poids optimal, sans diminution de la résistance.
